Son-Ambar

The entire place would be entirely covered in a turquoise taint, were it not for the numerous street lights that oozes amber sheen to the blinding region.

Thing is, this sheen isn't just meant to showcase the beauty, or to provide a sense of hope into the wanderers, but it also the sole lifeliine of the region, that you can rely on.

The blue gloom- while being unwelcoming- has a threatening depth to it, as well.

Stay too long under it, and the depth will take hold of you, leaving you incapable to escape. The gloom smears your eyes with hopeless, your lungs will, should you choose to stay alive, your limbs will be burdened by heft you can't see, feel or hold, and yet they will be able to hold you at a place.

To protect beloved wanderers from such conniptions a kindheart installed the relieving lights, at the cost of his own pleasure.

Under the Bed

“Oye Moti! You better hide!”
Moti cursed, for he was just starting to enjoy the IPL match. But he would prefer not to be thrashed like a cricket ball, thank you very much.
“Moti!” His daughter shrieked again. Out of everyone – amongst his family, friends and definitely not the strangers- only his daughter had the heart (and guts) to call him ‘Moti’, due to his overweight.
They had started knocking his door. His wife, as always, was the first line of defence. That doesn’t mean she would take it all. Gone are the days when she would be pleading for her man’s life in front of the lone sharks; claiming to clean shit-ridden toilets or anything for her husband. She had once left him, promising to leave him forever. The only way he was able to bring her was promising she would not have to do something dishonourable due to her husband.
Soon enough they will be in front of him, and god knows what would happen after that. Unless of course, he finds a way to squeeze his bloated cheeks under the tiny bed.

Knitted World

Many things about this world is peculiar.
The most peculiar thing had to be the design of the pillars for various structures. They were awfully conical in shape, with their diameter diminishing with height, leaving the pointy ends to withstand the heft of floors or other structures.
Another unusual thing was the choice of colour used for different structures. There were no particular colours for forts, temples, shops or houses; although they all had a similarly striking sheen that really popped out to one’s eyes. Colours like Shiny blue, bright purple, yellowish orange, lime green etc.
The sky was extremely cloudy, for some reason; no glimpse of the sky or sun, also a no hint of the night or moon the moon in this world.
Once you make your way to the tallest structure- conjoined with a mountain- you get to fight the spirit that is the cause for all the cloudiness in the sky.
Once you get rid of the clouds, however, the thing is clear. The sky is actually one shiny cloth spread over your head, with structures standing straight because various threads from the structures are attached to this ‘sky’. The thread is either made from some thick cloth, or flexible metal.
You realise that everything in this world is actually knitted together. The knitter had created this world for their pleasure, but once they left, things inside this world became to carve its own existence.
